BrainSpark Games

Product management strategy and PRD for educational gaming company's MathQuest 2, including market analysis and go-to-market planning.

01 | Overview

Creating a plan for an Ed-Tech Startup

BrainSpark Games, a small indie game studio, was founded in 2020 with a clear goal: to make educational games that combine fun gameplay with serious learning. Their first game, Math Quest, sold over 100,000 units in under a year, but the games that followed didn't come close.

BrainSpark Games is at a crucial point in its growth. While game developers focus on creating the sequel to their most successful game, Math Quest 2, the company faces key challenges outside of game production. With only 12 months of runway left, the startup sought to pivot towards a different business model entirely.
